To become a world-leading institute and globally recognized center of excellence in Food Security — pioneering climate-smart agriculture, circular bioeconomy, and digital farming solutions. We promote science and technologies relevant to Patiala, Punjab, India, as well as worldwide, by enhancing community building in a sustainable manner and aligning with UN-SDG-2030 goals for Zero Hunger, Good Health, and Climate Action.

- •Wastewater Rejuvenation: The 'Thapar Model' utilizing microalgae-bacterial biofilms to treat and recover rural wastewater.
- •Post-Harvest Preservation: Developing biocomposite biosensors for ethylene detection to reduce food spoilage.
- •Livestock Health: Creating peptide-based vaccines and rapid diagnostic tools for combating pervasive livestock diseases.
